[LAU] sox: everything on the internet is wrong

FWIW, that command works in openSUSE 11.2 using sox v14.3.0 on a  
standard 44.1kHz/16bit stereo wav.

So either you're using a buggy version, you mistyped the command or  
there's something special with sox and 32bit BCW.
