[LAU] Jack fallback to alsa when firefire device off?

Very insightful Paul. Thanks. May I ask you - and any others who care to
mention - what distro you use. Is it a "studio" one, or a basic one built up
for audio use? I was going to settle on KXStudio as I think a lot of care
and effort has gone into it. But in light of this I might 'shop around'.
