Hi Julien and Kevin

Sorry for being late to the party, but it still seems like I'm the first
one here!

Anyway, thanks for posting. I'm just taking a break from mixing and
thought I'd finally get around to listening to these (yeah, some break I
know, listening to music!).

It's not particularly my cup of Earl Grey, but very pleasant and
enjoyable listening nevertheless. Beautiful recordings, but perhaps a
touch on the quiet side.

I listened to the Carol And Chorale first. I love the
orchestral-arrangement-but-not-quite vibe: the arrangement is really
good with the two organs complementing each other really well. I like
the tremulousness that the tremulant adds to the string sounds, really
nice. Are the bells part of the Wurlitzer or an additional instrument?

The name Carol Of The Bells rings vague, er... tinkly things with me but
I can't say I know it. By the way, it isn't an English carol -- it's
other name is (according to Wikipedia, so truthfulness may vary!) the
Ukranian Bell Carol and was introduced to the west in the 1920s. I don't
know any Bach either, so I'm not sure where one started and the other
ended, which also goes to show what a good arrangement it was, with no
obvious joins.

Funny, I saved Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring for last because I know it and
wish I hadn't as I enjoyed the Carol And Chorale more. Again it's rather
quiet and there were one or two points where the organs seemed to be
fighting each other a little over the timing, but overall it was nice, I
just enjoyed the other piece more.

Thanks for sharing!

Kind regards

Q
