Hi,
I guess this should be a new thread. I also tried to figure out myself
what I'm missing and I asked on Debian users mailing list first. Sorry,
but I've to asked again.
$ uname -a

I started with my current kernel-rt's config and run make oldconfig.
PREEMPT?
Before I build and installed the kernel I removed all ALSA packages
excepted of libasound2 1.0.23-4, a dependency for the Debian audio
packages. I didn't replace it by a dummy package.
This seems not to be the correct way to use Kernel's ALSA?
I can run
$ jackd --sync -Xalsarawmidi -dalsa -r48000 -p1024
without getting an error message, it's the same for
$ jackd --sync -dalsa -r48000 -p1024
but if I run qjackctl I get

E.g. no alsaconf.
The "Xilinx RME Hammerfall DSP MADI" is the RME HDSPe AIO, shouldn't the
name be correct for the new driver/firmware?
When running Jack, instead of showing the name DSP MADI and two MIDI
devices for the DSP MADI, there's no name and only one MIDI device for
the first card, hence the driver/firmware was switched?

I stopped trying to get ALSA 1.0.24 for the current kernel-rt working,
regarding to several recommendations to use kernel 2.6.39.
There's still some information I'll read ...
