lsmod | grep snd
you will need to load the alsa sequencer module.

the MADI, AIO and raydat cards are very similar hardware and use the 
same driver, looks like there's some mixup in there. you can ignore it, 
but yes, it should be fixed.

unlikely. the real hdspm MADI has three midi devices.
