You misunderstood my comment.  I have absolutely no issue with how Paul
responded, and he and I talked about it a little on #ardour even but
honestly I agree with him in pretty much every regard and trust that he
knows more about it and can comment on it far more throughly than I ever
could.

My issue, was with the exact comment that was quoted by Oon-Ee, which was
little more than trolling, and Oon-Ee was correct in his assesment in my
opinion.  However I just wanted to clarify where the comment Oon-Ee qutoed
came from, which was from the Phoronix thread, not from any mailing list
thread so it was obviously confusing what was trying to be said as some
people thought it was directed to them when it wasn't.

The rest of your post has been pretty well addressed by others I believe so
I will leave that alone:)
