Ever tried a Stax ?

I once had the opportunity to try a SR-307 (Lambada series) and they were amazing.

There are two major drawbacks with them:  very expensive and need for a dedicated amplifier.

But for serious studio work they seem to be the best there is.

Don;t know though if they fit your needs.
