And if you want to be a bit 'artistic' - apply a some hi frequency EQ 
boosting (pick above 5 kHz): in a smoky room with PA it will add a bit 
of 'brilliance' and you can say "can't you hear how crisp the 
bit-accurate sound is?" :-)
