I read the home page. It mentions that Cadence adds system files that 
will interfere with running Studio Controls. Which files are those and 
what state do they need to be in for Studio Controls to work?

I use Cadence because it was the only way I could get Firefox here to 
play audio through my external soundcard. Every other attempt routed it 
to the garbage internal soundcard.
