now i'm just looking forward to hear other members
opinions.
I reviewed the consortium about/mission statement;
http://linuxaudio.org/en/about.html paragraph 1, last
sentance:
"The consortium aims to co-ordinate joint projects
between members, collaborate on the promotion of Linux
based systems for audio tasks, and provide a single
point of contact for prospective industry partners."
The Linux Audio Consortium has no political, social,
religious, moral or economic devotion to a common
greater reality.
Are your objections for including Ubuntu based on
political and moral issues? Forgive me if you have to
clarify the obvious but that's all I seem to recall
from what I read. If your answer is yes then I do not
support your cause--despite my being an active
advocate for human rights.
Beyound those issues I see Ubuntu discussed on the
Linux Audio User mailing list so there's no argument
to convince me that they are not relevant to our
interests. There is an abundance of evidence in
practice and that matters a great deal.
If a vote is cast today then I am in favor of
including Ubuntu as a member of the Linux Audio
Consortium. Jaromil, I wouldn't express my position if
you didn't deserve to know where I stand.
