On Debian/Ubuntu systems, the irqbalance package which tries to push interrupts across all your CPU's fairly, has been part of the base system for a long time. On Gentoo, it's an available package, but not installed by default. Is irqbalance recommended for RT audio? Deprecated? Doesn't matter?
