[LAU] I really need help with jack

One more troubling thought ... the sound device is on the MB and has
an optical and rca-type digital out. I assume that the 2 are the same
since I don't see an option anywhere to select between the 2. But, I'm
using the rca digital to a pair of digital monitors.
