be friendly, yes, by all means. hide the underlying workings from users
and prevent them from understanding them, never.
Agree 100%. One person's "user friendly" is often the opposite for the more
experienced user. I think the tendency to remove the need for understanding
is quite unhealthy (see Darwin).
