When I was for orchestra recordings in Berlin, the
broadcasting
company did use their own recording halls, but borrowed an audio
recording studio van from France and fly in the audio engineer from
the USA. Some things simply can't be done with a KORG nanoKONTROL and
a computer.
Some can. And that's what we are talking about. Your audio recording
studio van from France is not relevant for a Jack discussion list. It
may be for a general sound engineering list.
The studio-in-a-box is very good, but the size as well
as the price
limits a few things.
But not the ones we were talking about. Neither size nor price are an
impediment to Jack/Ardour for using the existing hardware to best
effect.
