That would be a problem. We want to use these cards for wave field
synthesis. They can have WordClock connections, so they are precisely
synced. If jack would somehow add latency to the second card, the results
won't work.

Meaning some output ports will have more latency than others? I don't
think jack has a way to notify the server that some backends have
different latency so that it can be reported to applications like Ardour
that adjust for latency.
