Hi all,
with help from the community (thanks for testing :-) I have gathered
some build-system fixes for JackMix. So a new release is available at
http://www.arnoldarts.de/drupal/?q=node/568 or directly at
http://www.arnoldarts.de/drupal/files/downloads/jackmix/jackmix-0.3.1.tar.gz
Changes are:
- Use pkg-config correctly (--libs-only-l and --libs-only-L instead of --libs)
- Require QtCore >= 4.2 per pkg-config to circumvent api-changes from
Qt4.1 to Qt4.2...
- Adopt INSTALL and similar gnu-files to the new buildsystem.

I can't get realtime timestamping for input events to work.
Queue is initialized as:
queue = snd_seq_alloc_queue(seq);
snd_seq_start_queue(seq, queue, 0);
Port is created with:
snd_seq_port_info_set_timestamping(pinfo, 1);
snd_seq_port_info_set_timestamp_queue(pinfo, queue);
snd_seq_port_info_set_timestamp_real(pinfo, 1);
But ev.time.time is always zero.
What's wrong?

judging from your motivation I can't say if it's /good software/, but
"xmms" is avail. for many linux-distros:
xmms tone://1000 # is pretty annoying
xmms tone://15000 # even more so
xmms tone://18000 # is beyond my laptop's speaker capabilities

Everything seems settled. The archives from music.columbia.edu are
merged and new messages seem to be appended on the old archives.
What's left ?
- merging the pre-columbia era archives (I'll contact Fernando who
seems to have the best copy of it)
- changing the list information on gmane and also merging archives
here once we have it all packed on our server.
- Also changing the default style of the mailman site so it fits the
style of the rest of linuxaudio.org
All of the remaining operation should be transparent to you, except
for gmane users who will need a little patience.
