[LAD] looking for HW/SW developer for consultancy

Hi all, I'm looking for someone to develop some HW and SW as a consultancy job for my employer, Huawei German Research Center, Munich. What we need is 16 channels of analog audio output (16 bit is OK, 24 preferred, 48 kHz sample rate) from a Raspberry 3B+ using the GPIO interface, using any of I2S, I2C or SPI or whatever seems best. You job would be to design the entire electronics, probably consisting of an FPGA and a number of D/A converters, the PCB, and all required SW. The SW would be the FPGA code, and an ALSA driver or any other solution allowing to use the interface from user space. It seems (see <https://github.com/hzeller/rpi-gpio-dma-demo>) that more than enough bandwidth is available using the GPIO pins. Strangely enough it also seems that using a CPU offers much better performance than using DMA. For driving the interface you can use one CPU of the Rpi up to 100%. [LAD] [ANN] Vee One Suite 0.9.5 - The End of Winter'19 Release

Dear all, The 'Vee One Suite' of so called 'old-school' software instruments are here and again released for the 'End of Winter'19 season. Available in dual form as usual: - a pure stand-alone JACK client with JACK-session [5], NSM (Non Session management [6]) and both JACK MIDI and ALSA MIDI [7] input support; - a LV2 instrument plug-in [8]. The change-log for this end-of-season are as follows:<ul> - Improved overall stability for current sample offset and loop range, cross-fade and zero-crossing property changes across UI's, eg. LV2 plug-in native GUI and a host generic provided one. (applies to samplv1 [2] and drumkv1 [3] only) - HiDPI display screen support (Qt >= 5.6). - A fake/visual piano-keyboard widget is now being introduced to the status bar. - Avoid destructing the possibly shared QApplication instance on LV2 plug-in UI clean-up.
