[ANN] Vee One Suite 0.9.19 - QStuff* Winter'20 Release batch #2

Season greetings, one second time! Once more, the 'Vee One Suite' of so called 'old-school' software instruments, synthv1 [1] as a polyphonic subtractive synthesizer, samplv1 [2] a polyphonic sampler synthesizer, drumkv1 [3] as yet another drum-kit sampler and padthv1 [4] as a polyphonic additive synthesizer, are here released for the (Northern) Winter'20 season... All still delivered in the two traditional forms: - a pure stand-alone JACK client with JACK-session [5], NSM (Non/New Session Management [6]) and both JACK MIDI and ALSA MIDI [7] input support; - a LV2 instrument plug-in [8]. Changes for this special season release are as follows: - Better handling of the offset and loop ranges when in presence of very long sample files (applies to samplv1 [2] and drumkv1 [3] only). - Fixed display of old knob/dial values on status-bar. - Reduced formant filter coefficient slew rate, aiming to a tenfold DSP performance gain. - Get a chance on bringing Wayland into the picture when dealing Qt static-linked deliverables. Alsa Modular Synth / AMS (bugs/NSM)

Hi, AMS is still interesting software. Going strong since 2002? I'm using it now to try to understand sound synthesis a little better and I've always liked the sound of it. So kudos to the developers! All the LV2 alternatives fail on me so far, moreover they're doesn't seems to be specially designed to be a modular synth like AMS, with it's nice cables. They seems to handle it more like, we have LV2 plugins, and look if you want you can modular synthesis with it (and then you encounter problems with the AMS-LV2 port). Anyway, I can't find a place to report AMS bugs. The issue tracker on SourceForge seems to be closed. I've reported two to Debian, but the maintainer hints to me that he is not able to solve it. Therefor I'll report them here. This is a quick fix release as I've forgotten to implement jack MIDI input forwarding to ALSA MIDI output. Also it implement proper French translation thanks to Olivier Humbert. The mysterious revival of www.nekosynth.co.uk

Hi folks, Some of you may recall that about ten years ago I wrote some LADSPA and DSSI plugins and hosted them on a Trac install on www.nekosynth.co.uk until I moved away from doing music with computers, and gradually the site became abandoned and the domain lapsed. Someone pointed out that the site is back up on https://www.nekosynth.co.uk with a load of content downloaded from archive.org and indeed there it is - loads of it although the audio examples are missing. This is seriously weird. Like, really, really weird. It wasn't one of you lot, was it? I'd love to try and get in touch with whoever put considerable effort into setting it up. If anyone knows anything I'd appreciate the information. -- Gordonjcp

Fluida.lv2 - Fluidsynth a LV2 plugin

Hi This is the initial release of Fluida.lv2 Fluida is a wrapper around Fluidsynth https://github.com/FluidSynth/fluidsynth allowing to load and control Fluidsynth as LV2 plugin within your DAW.
