eww, the seeking needs to be instantaneous, and unless you suggest
supporting infinite tempo (forward and backward)...
That wouldn't work anyway, since the things that depend on SEEK (and
SPEED) are generally not related to musical time, but rather wall
clock time, calculated from audio time. (That's why you need SPEED at
all for FFWD.)
