Very closely related if you consider that the ultimate purpose of a
description is to control something. Why should there be any difference
between
A. a description of a plugin's interface,
B. a set of commands that make a host accomodate the plugin ?
It depends on the task the app is trying to achieve, if its trying to find
a plugin thats a "compressor" with stereo inputs then evaluating all the
instructions in the pile to try and find a match is not very convienient.
