Hmm, does such an OS exist? Linux certainly wouldn't qualify.
I presume you are referring to Solaris and the BSDs, right? Not sure
why on earth any of those OSes would ever matter for audio
programming.
Lennart Seems to
be pretty active still, and AFAIK the only way to have cross
platform interface to audio drivers...
cross-platform here meaning "across a few selected Unix-lke systems", right?
