hi all,
i'm currently working on an installation, where i have to track persons
in a room ...
in theory it should be possible to track a person by the time the sound
will need to reach the microphone ... i know, these are only ms, but
using a tricky algorithm, it might be possible ...
has anyone been trying to work on something like that? if so, i'd like
to hear about the results ...
cheers... tim
There's a paper (PDF) here:
http://www.media.mit.edu/resenv/pubs/papers/2002-06-IEEE-Sensors-Tapper.pdf
which describes using four transducers in the corners of a shop window
to detect
the location of finger taps on the surface of the window. Some of it
might be
relevant.
Also... hmmm. Could also be relevant to a cheap DIY drum pad.
