Martin Eastwood has posted the code for his MVerb:

Open-source, GPL3'd free software.
Maybe someone could whip up a plugin or standalone app from this code ?
PS: If you download the zipfile note that it does not include a
top-level directory, i.e. it'll dump its contents into the current
directory.
