Well, I am an ambient composer and my use of composer has little in common
with what is a vocoder typically used for (making the voice sound like a
robot).
So basically, choosing a file as a modulator would be cool so that one can
experiment. But having really nice waves already built in is a very good
idea as well. Having both possibilities (use built-in or load your own)
would be perfect.
Again, as I mentioned in the original letter, it is very much like Orange
Vocoder. An example of how I used it with FL Studio back in the non-Linux

Adding nice waves to the plugin might make it more than a plugin, but more
like an instrument. Allowing a person to load a carrier would make it very
flexible and a unique tool.
