the GPL, hence the software would be basically without a license, and you
are not even allowed to download it.
But in this case, the license is verbatim GPL v.2 and the
controversial part is just a wish on the authour's website, not an
obligation or a restriction in any way, as far as I read and
understand.
So the license of ZynAddSubFX marks it clearly as free software. It's
just, that the author of this software doesn't like it if music
against god is made with his or with any other software: "This will
happen, no matter if you'll use my program, else's program or anything
else against Jesus's name."
One could discuss this a lot, and it sure is quite unusual, but it has
nothing to do with the open-source'ness or the technical merits of his
software, if it's not part of the license, and IMO it isn't.
