Hi Carlos,
Thanks for the positive response! Excuse the brief email - on my phone and
not near a computer for the next week.
It should be easy to turn the zip distribution into a deb. The installer
does have the benefit of using pack200 compression though, so is half the
size (not a huge issue these days).
I also tend to install as a user rather than root, but that's more to do
with constant development. I'm aiming for a 6wk release cycle, when
holidays don't get in the way!
Will aim to follow up further when I'm back working.
Best wishes,
Neil

  Hi All,
I know I've posted an announcement about Praxis / Praxis LIVE here
before. Thought a few people might be interested in this blog entry
about Praxis' underlying architecture and the influence of the Actor
Model. Be really interested in any comments with thoughts, insights,
corrections, stupid mistakes, similar models in use elsewhere, etc.,
 etc.

 Thanks in advance.
 Best wishes,

 Hi, Neil.
Very appealing project. I like this high-level approach, for me is
better suited when you're doing things/music on the fly, and makes
easier thinking and doing more with your artistic (brain-)side[1] and
less with your technical side[2] in this kind of situations.
Really nice installer, BTW. Easy and when it finishes you have Praxis
up and running. It just works.
Do you have some package already? A debian package for Wheeze would be
great. Would like to do some test to see if it could be included in
 the next version of Musix.
 Thanks, Neil.
[1] I want this fx now on my guitar, wanna sound like a bass for this
part, going to loop an A part to jam along...
[2] Is there X-runs?, maybe this patch is going to crash Jack, I have
to route this to this in order to do this...
