It's an eMac with no known Linux drivers for the (fake) network card
available. So advocating a conversion from a Mac/Photoshop combo to
Linux/GIMP would leave her dead in the water regarding Internet.
Well well, all that was asked for was somewhere to register a SIP
connection without a lot of to do. Anyone?

I don't have a real solution to your problem. But would it be an option to
use googletalk? This should be accessible from all systems via the online-app
or via some jingle-capable clients. Might this help?
