I use a dedicated PC, with a Core 2 Duo @ 2.4 GHz, 4GB RAM and RNME HDSP + Multiface II
sound system.
I second the PianoTeq app recommendation... it sounds great and I have
no problems with latency or xruns. I have almost the exact same sound
setup and use it as a Jack client. It's not free, but worth the price.
And doesn't need 30GB of disk space either.
