After several try, I finally get it to work with a non-RT kernel. It
was almost one year ago, but its stability was a calamity with the
Geforce 8800 GT.
I haven't tried nv in a long time
because it gives me pathetically low resolution.
Last time I try it was on my precedent machine with a few
different RT-kernels, and it give me 1280x1024 without problem (with
custom modelines into xorg.conf). The stability was very good even at
very high system load. The performance with fvwm-crystal was really good
too, jack was almost imperturbable, just the desktop that was slow
sometime at high system load. But on my new machine and its quad
core phenom, it is much more difficult to slow down the desktop.
But, if you want to try the NVidia proprietary driver, it is better to
patch the driver souces rather than faking the license in the kernel.

OK, so to resume, I have to make 3 kernels, a non-RT for work with
portage and gcc (gcc can give wrong results sometime with a RT-kernel
https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20600), and 2 RT, one with the
patched nvidia and vesa, and the other with vesa and nv.
