purpose audio server. Perhaps what you wrote in the email below, comparing
JACK to ASIO, would be more appropriate.
But the second paragraph of the intro basicly already mentions
the focus:

designed from the ground up to be suitable for professional audio work.
This means that it focuses on two key areas: synchronous execution of all
clients, and low latency operation.
