Maybe the firewire backend option is not something to release just yet.
It's option set hasn't converged yet, and most likely they are going to
change. So in order to avoid version/maintenance issues it might be
better not to release it yet. Normally this will be resolved in a month

Meanwhile, I believe there's no big problem about keeping it as is. I've
just forwarded a plain patch sent (today) from Klaus Zimmermann. Below

The attached patch adds support for this to qjackctl. It should be
noted, that ffado is still very beta. However, since it can coexist
with freebob I see no reason not to support.
