how much cpu load the different sub-modules generate.
It's a windows app so I don't know how much extra overhead windows adds
on per submodule. Getting a pure cpu usage for the submodules will be
hard, but an approximation is not much of a problem.
graphics should not be a problem (bitmap blits don't
create relevant cpu load on recent systems). a rough
figure for the system's total cpu load for every effect
running on its own (if that is possible) would be a good
start.
if you don't run "ms access" or other busy-waiting apps
in the background the system part of the cpu load should
be negligible.
Also, I must ask this, how much of the LAD stuff is
designed with 32bit
audio in mind? I ask because that's what I work in, then dither down to
16bit when mastering.
most of what i do is 64 internally and 32 for inter-module
exchange.
