If MusE is a typical sequencer, then sequencers
contain an editor.

That's more like what a sequencer does.
Is a midi file player a sequencer?
If it sequence midi, then it's a midi sequencer.
Is changing the tempo and transposing editing or
sequencing?
Well, you control the sequencer with your interface.
I'm not trying to be difficult, but I'd rather have a powerful
sequencer daemon and then look for a nice model view editor.
