Thanks for the reply, even though it is sad news.
I'm still considering getting one of these, and using on my Windows machine
until things get fixed.
if you do, why don't you also consider writing to maudio and asking
them (1) to give the ALSA project the specs that are needed to make it
work and (2) ask them why the device doesn't conform to the USB spec.
