Many people have made the same complaint, so you'll be happy to learn
that JACK midi support was just committed to CVS a few weeks ago.
But overall, what mostly annoys me of linux audio is
that most API
programmers just implement
the features THEY use and need, and not what others may need. And
since
they mantain the thing,
even adding them yourself is pointless, as they will most certainly
not
accept patches.
I have no idea how you came to this conclusion, if you need a feature
and submit a patch it certainly will be accepted.
