Okay, I see. The only solution, apart from actually sending the audio
data, which doesn't sound that nice to me, would be to make the
sidechain specifically designed for a certain plugin then (plugin
specific logic placed in the sidechain), which isn't that nice either.
But maybe it can be done such that other plugs can benefit also, i still
want to control that room-size !! :)

theres a misundersantding about what sidechains do here, they really
are just an audio stream.
Hmmm, how do you recon? A sidechain for a compressor may be an audio
stream, but it's the "control" behaviour of that stream that is of
interest, right? That should mean that it would be possible to extract
just the behaviour and only distribute "that".
