Once you remove the glib dep, I should be able to tell
you what size I get when
compiling with the Android NDK. I have checked again, and 100Kb is good in my
case. FYI, APK packaging uses zip compression.
I would guess it will be at the very least a month before this happens,
unless somebody steps up to do it. The relevant SLV2 release
announcement will mention the glib removal.
Are you planning to remove it in the next release?
Nope. The next release will be very soon. It is not a short-term
priority for me at all.
If a solid replacement for all the necessary things shows up that I
don't have to work on whatsoever, then I'll switch to it.
I very much need to start releasing /plugins/ and /programs/ - things
users actually /use/ directly. At first I only care about doing so on
this platform, and glib is not a problem whatsoever on this platform.
There's still a ton of LV2 core/extension work that needs doing before I
get to do that. Pissing time away replacing glib? No thanks. :)
As said, same priority framework here, but your previous answer seemed
to indicate otherwise.
