Yes, "Knecht" in German and Dutch is the same. The funny think with my
name is, that the "Bar" in front has nothing to do withe beverages,
but means "free" (like in "barefoot", a foot "free" of
shoes). So a
Barknecht is a laborer, that now is free. Or maybe a freelancer?
Well, all this is the genuine truth...
