My, you seem to have quite the problem with my use of the word ignorant.
First off, I didn't call anyone ignorant, so I fail to see what was
"insulting" about it.
And the idea that closed driver support is better than no support
completely ignores immediate negative consequences, and more importantly
disasterous long-term consequences.
It's a short-sighted and narrow-minded view, that clearly shows someone
hasn't actually THOUGHT about the issue at all, other than "gee, I want
this card to work in my computer".
That would be sufficient enough to brand it "ignorant" as far as I'm
concerned. Sorry for not candy coating it to make you feel all warm and
fuzzy inside. The purpose of my email was to make a point, not make
everyone who reads it feel really good about themselves.
Anyway, do us all a favour and try to keep the discussion on topic,
rather than sliding in useless inflammable nonsense like "you're
insulting and rude and blah blah blah". If you think that the opinion
isn't ignorant, SAY WHY, don't just bitch and whine about me hurtings
people's fragile feelings - it's a waste of time.
