Actually
I'd like to get rid if the UID (its useless for generated
plugins and has a significant adminstrative overhead) and just roll it
into the label with a URI scheme.
that way everyone can administer thier own unique ID scheme.
Fair enough. My gripe about the label is that it can be used as an
identifier (together with the filename), which can break things. So long
as there's only one identifier in 2.x I'm happy!
