Two questions:
1) Is the intent to produce an ALSA driver, or what?
Yes. My idea was to implement a userland alsa driver (implementing the
alsa lib plugin API). The driver will be based on exising libraries
like libraw1394, libavc1394, etc.
2) What is the license of the code going to be?
GPL.
