to defend Google a bit.
I used to work fulltime developing software at Google.
It was a great place to work. Everyone I knew there was
dedicated to doing the right thing for the user...
when they mis-stepped, like when the initial Buzz privacy
settings were unpopular, they tried to set things right quickly.
The only way I can see them ever becoming evil is if
they're bought out by, say, Oracle. (And I fully expect some
people I knew in college now to come out and defend Oracle :-)
(I now work fulltime developing software at a startup. It's fun being
at a small company again, but I do miss the massages, at least a little.)
