It should be something that will not cause us a maintenance burden.
Large or exotic library dependencies should be avoided. We don't want
to force people to install GTK or Qt just to compile JACK. Some
dependencies can be conditionally configured, though.

And we are looking at around 164 lines of code, should be OK?
I will prepare a patch against JACK CVS.
