AFAIK the latest 2.6 kernel works around all the various M-Audio
'features'.
There is
the M-Audio Audiophile USB but it does not work on Gentoo (and
of course, I use Gentoo!!).
It should work with recent driver versions. And that I might be able to try using the Quattro
again?
The latest Quattro-related change in the driver was in ALSA 1.0.6.
