Oh, don't get me wrong, you can save/load
presets inside the
guitarix preset window (no d'n'd' needed)
How ? I didn't find a
load button or anything that lets me select
a file. There's a 'Save' in the presets window, but again no way
to select where to save and under what name. It's probably writing
some files in a place I haven't chosen and that I don't even know.
Just click on a preset to load it. To save a preset, click on <new>
give a name and hit enter.
Al files get saved in the guiatix config folder. (~./config/guitarix)
presets been placed in /banks, as a preset is always ordered in a
bank. You can move/reorder presets in banks.
I guess ./config/appname is a standard place to save configurations.
Isn't it?
We don’t support dir selection to save presets.
Forgot to mention, the save button save the current state under the
current preset. You could set a bank to "no rewrite" by click in front
of the preset name( a red "R" will show the rewrite state) , to protect
it for overwrites.
Fons, I would love if you once use guitarix and get
your own
impression of our work.
I have. I don't like at all how it looks: lots of
silly eye-candy
at the expense of usability. Take the way you have repackaged
zita-rev1. It's a perfect example of what I don't want it to be,
and why I'm moving away from GPL licencing. Sorry, but I prefer
to be frank about this.
Ciao,
I'm really sorry to hear that. What exactly is it what you disturb
about our interface to zita-rev1?
By the way, it is the faust version of zita-rev1.
If there is to much eye-candy in the interface, you may be more the
type for the web-interface, which is more plain for engineers.
