checked out netjack, but i dont think i want that, as i said i want
the audio from the router directly to the speaker through CAT5 and balun
assembly. Wat i am confused about is after the decoding how, wud i send it
over the ethernet and how wud analog signals travel over ethernet.

I think what you are confused about is the definition of "Ethernet".
Ethernet is a standard for sending digital bits of information through
a wire. Quite often we use CAT5 cables for this purpose, and it has
become the standard to do so.
Sometimes audio/video equipment also can make use of CAT5 cable,
because it is a good twisted-pair standard with certain properties
that make it attractive for sending signals with low noise.
However, the fact that Ethernet and A/V equipment both use CAT5 cables
does not mean that they are related in any way. Your WRT is an
Ethernet device, which knows how to encode and decode IP traffic for
networking purposes. However it has absolutely no analog connection
to the CAT5 cable.
So, I'm afraid to say, your idea of sending analog audio signals over
CAT5 from your WRT will simply not work. However, as suggested, using
a good streaming program like netjack, you might be able to encode a
digital audio signal and send it somewhere to a device that can decode
it to analog. But sending an audio signal along CAT5 straight from
the WRT to the speaker is out of the question.
I suggest looking into other solutions.
Funny, this reminds me of the time when I was young and I tried to put
a Commodore 64 digital tape into my living room tape player. It
sounded awful. :)

Hi Stephen,
Thanks for that cheerful explanation. Actually I did have those doubts in my
mind earlier, but there is another thing which i think can come over this
problem. As i mentioned earlier that the router has OpenWRT firmware
installed on it, so can i not write my own Digital To Analog Converter (If
this is wat you mean by "no analog connection to the CAT5 Cable.)?
Or probably, pass on the digital data to an external hardware DAC, which can
then pass it on to the speaker.

1: Well, maybe you can try to create a Pulse-Width-Modulated analog-signal,
but that probably not the audio-quality you want and will take you probably
ages to program/develop...

I should note that if you are game to do audio computing using a small
computer, the WRT might not be your best option, but there are other
ways!
For example, you could put together a small-form-factor (mini-ITX or
such) computer that has an audio or SPDIF output on it. Take a look
at the AudioPint project for example.

Or to go _really_ small, have a look at gumstix: http://gumstix.com/
A gumstix + roboaudio board will cost about $200 and it can do audio
output directly. Though I think you'll have the same issues in terms
of floating point operations.
There are likely several other options for small computing.

idea of audio over CAT5 wont work?
NSLU can then stream music from your computer or
Internet radio.
It goes out the USB port and converts to analog.
Use powered speakers since you don't have an amp.
NSLU is definitely a very good option for doing something like that,
thanks for the suggestion.
But this whole mean getting a new hardware, which is wat i am trying to
avoid by exploring the prospects of sending audio over good old cat5 cables.

Audio-over-Cat5 _will_ work. IF you send analog signals. But you have to
create the analog signals somewhere. And that somewhere is not the
network-interfaces of the router. And other network-interfaces can _never_
successfully receive the analog signal.
But by soldering a box (two actually) that connects an RJ45-connector with
some male and female XLR-connectors (or some line-jacks) you can use a
Cat5-cable as a multicore...
