frank's radio article, care of google translation. this is great. it
makes me sound like a native german attempting to speak english, with
a result much less polished than frank b. or frank n.'s excellent
adoption of my native tongue. actually, it makes me sound as if i can
barely speak the language at all, which might not be so far from the
truth :)

It surely has a high 'hello hello' content. For the uninitiated,
'hello hello' is TV comedy series set in France during WW II.
It's full of French, Brits and Germans all trying to speaks each
other's language, with hilarious results.
Apart from how Frank's name got mangled up, there are some other
gems: 'the case of hammer' (Hammerfall), and 'Linux, for technical
reasons, is not able to swallow'.

Yes, "Knecht" in German and Dutch is the same. The funny think with my
name is, that the "Bar" in front has nothing to do withe beverages,
but means "free" (like in "barefoot", a foot "free" of
shoes). So a
Barknecht is a laborer, that now is free. Or maybe a freelancer?
Well, all this is the genuine truth...

It's sure fascinating how translation engines "work".
For the non-krauts: one meaning of the german word "Fall", is the
english word case "case", and there actualy exist concatenated words like
"im Zweifelsfall" == "in case of doubt". Poor google, it must have
seemed just too obvisous. :-)
btw, my favourite phrase:
"One can simply its favourite program use and does not have nevertheless
not without the one ability do, which supplies only another program."
I'm sure there is some satanic message hidden in this line. Think i will
record it and put it into one of my next songs.
Translate it back, and i'm sure you get something sounding like an
alternative opening for Kant's "Kritik der reinen Vernunft"
And, Franc "the genuine" Bark-N, better watch out, as this might become
your new nick, before you know it. :-)
