Speaking of documentation, it is generally a good idea to visit all the big
unix vendors for unix-programming enlightment. Well written, fresh, and very
thorough. Not everything is 100% compatible, but close enough.
Also Silicon Graphics (
www.sgi.com) has many good PDF books.
