engineers who built their own studio to work out of ... it was a really

FWIW, that they built the place themselves is worth pondering.
Not to denigrate their abilities, but control rooms have windows for a reason.
There are ways of managing the dynamism but walk ins are likely to be walk
outs. People do have prejudice against handicapped unfortunately.
