RME Hammerfall DSP 0000:16:00.0: PCI INT A disabled RME Hammerfall DSP: probe of 0000:16:00.0 failed with error -5 and than the workaround... * rmmod snd_hdsp * modprobe snd-hdsp that's all... easy :)) after reload the driver the cardbus-interface load the firmware correctly for all other people with the same problem my system is currently: thinkpad r61, multiface 1 connected over the small (old) pcmcia cardbus-interface. kernel 2.6.29-rc6 + the brand-new rt patch (thx :-) for this kernel. and the kernel included alsa-driver. alsa-firmware-1.0.19 alsa-tools-1.0.19 maybe it also will work with older versions of firmware and tools. i don't test this. greetings wolke
